Addiction treatments

Patients referred and accepted for treatment at the Max Glatt Unit will receive:

A separate bedroom in male, female or private patient areas of the ward

 

 Medical assessment and regular reviews covering the impact of addiction on physical and  mental health needs

 

 Nursing assessment and regular reviews covering holistic activities, e.g. mobility, self-care, hygiene and nutrition

 

 A bespoke recovery care plan based upon the medical and nursing assessments and agreed treatment goals

 

Intensive nursing monitoring of physical and mental health, including support, interventions or 1-1 nursing if required

 

Individual nutritional needs assessment, bespoke meal plans and a choice of tasty, freshly cooked food

 

A dedicated peer mentor, who has personal experience of the services on Max Glatt and offers recovery support directly to patients

 

Mutual Aid taster sessions, including SMART recovery and '12 step' fellowships (Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous)

 

One-to-one and group therapy sessions from on-site psychiatrists, psychologists, family therapists and employment specialists

 

Family/friend interventions to help people have at least one person who can provide support without drug and alcohol problems
